When trying to subscribe via paypal/credit card it comes up saying your billing operator doesn't support anonymous email addresses. I only have an anonymous (gmail) email address as my ISP email is shared with others here and I don't do anything involving financial transactions with that account and I haven't used it in years anyways, nor do I have a work email account as I'm in construction and it's not something that requires one. If I try to pay anyways will it go through and provide me with the subscription but just not provide me with a transaction receipt/bill, or will it not work at all?

Unfortunately, we don't require non-anonymous email addresses, it is requirement from http://kagi.com - our card processing operator (check their website for details, maybe they have some workarounds for you). And, if operator not sends us confirmation about successful transaction - no subscriptions activated.

Ok, thanks. I assumed that was so but figured I'd ask to be sure. I'll look around there and see what can be done. Note: sorry if this multi-posted, perhaps the time limit between postings could be reduced with moderated postings in effect? I tried to post this 5 seconds too soon and ended up going in a loop for a couple minutes and I'm not sure if anything got posted during those times...
